In 1979-81, I studied art at Chattanooga State Community College in Chattanooga, TN. I began learning china painting in 1997. I have taken group lessons and attended a large number of workshops/seminars with teachers from across the United States plus Brazil, El Salvaodr, Portugal, and Germany studying various subjects. My favorite is painting portraits.
I trained as a nurse at the Kentucky Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in l958. I mostly have been a stay-at-home mom and loved it!
I married a US Navy guy in 1959 and he retired in 1977. After that, he worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority for 17 years. Then he had his own business for a while making web pages. He still works occasionally for a friend and works on a web site.
We have 2 sons and 1 daughter, 1 grandson and 6 granddaughters, and 2 great granddaughters.
I have always wanted to learn to do watercolors. I have been blessed with the opportunity to take a few workshops in watercolors in the last couple of years and looking forward to the next one.
